Professor of the Le Mirail University of Toulouse (Université de Toulouse „Le Mirail”) in France. In 1992–1997 he held the position of Head of the Institute of Music at the Faculty of Humanities, Philosophy and Music, and in 1997–2002 was Head of the Institute of Culture. At present, he is the coordinator of research studies at the Institute of Music. His academic interests focus on the music of the 20th century, particularly the reception of dodecaphony and serialism in French music. He is the author of the monograph, Le Domaine musical: Pierre Boulez et vingt ans de creation contemporaine, and a number of academic papers.
